Why It Matters

A healthy child can learn without interruption, play with boundless energy, and grow into their full potential. When malaria strikes, it doesn't just cause immediate suffering, it disrupts education, strains family resources, and limits opportunities for advancement.

When families are protected from preventable disease, they can redirect their energy and resources toward what truly matters: work, school, skill-building, and creating a better future for the next generation.

Health Impact

Fewer sick days mean children attend school regularly and parents can work consistently, building economic stability

Community Strength

Our community-based approach ensures programs are sustainable, culturally appropriate, and led by those who understand local needs best

Lasting Change

Education empowers families to protect themselves long-term, creating ripple effects of health and prosperity

GOALS

To purchase Insecticide Treated Bed Nets for children aged 3 to 5 years and vulnerable groups (HIV+). Without intervention these groups will record a high prevalence of Malaria. In some cases causing death. Working parents may also forfeit their employment obligations to take care of their children and the cycle of poverty continues.

ACTIVITIES

As the Australian project partner we work closely with a local organisation in Kisumu, Kenya. By collaborating with Lead Mission we have been able to provide Insecticide Treated Bed Nets (LLINets) along with education on their proper use and care. Community health volunteers continue to provide education about the deadly nature of malaria and how it can be prevented by using the nets.

DELIVERED WITH INTEGRITY

Each net is distributed through verified caregivers using a transparent tracking system. Local volunteers guide families through registration, careful monitoring, and proper net use — ensuring that every resource is used responsibly and effectively. We maintain detailed records and welcome questions about our processes at any time.

COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP

We collaborate closely with county health volunteers to align with national malaria prevention goals and support Kenya's broader public health initiatives. Local data collection helps ensure accountability, track progress, and demonstrate long-term success. This partnership approach ensures our work complements and strengthens existing health systems.
